About NT Connect
NT Connect Holdings is the primary maintainer of Nautilus and the operator of the managed services that mirror the open-source distribution. The Nautilus project is the natural extension of a stack NT Connect has been building and operating in maritime and enterprise environments for years.
What we do
NT Connect builds and operates a stack of cloud-native, AI-augmented platforms across communications, AI, content safety, and managed signage:
- Quanta — AI fabric, message bus, voice-agent runtime. The glue platform across the NT Connect stack.
- ConnectOne — Cloud PBX, voice/video transport, signaling. The comms platform Nautilus runs on.
- CallCraft — AI-voice surface inside ConnectOne. AI agents that join calls and rooms for voice ordering, concierge, AI Notes, AI-guided muster.
- Heimdall — DeBERTa-v3 multi-task analysis service + 12-plugin SafeSpace content safety + sentiment + influence scoring.
- signsync — production digital signage platform; the foundation for the extended cruise signage in Domain 15.
- NT Maritime — maritime-deployed GuestApp, CrewApp, Hospitality PBX, Telehealth, and Starlink integration platform.
- NT Connect — Cloud PBX core, TALK app, PBX App, SIP trunking, E911 Enterprise.
Nautilus stitches these into a single SPMS the cruise industry has been waiting for.
Why we built Nautilus
We have customers in maritime today. We've been building cruise-adjacent comms, content safety, and AI for years. The pattern we kept seeing across operators was the same: a 30-year-old SPMS at the center of every operational decision, with bolted-on AI features quoted as custom projects, and every new capability requiring a vendor release cycle.
Nautilus is the platform we wished those operators had — and that, frankly, the incumbents have had decades to build and haven't. We chose AGPL because we wanted the project to be defensibly open and because the cruise industry deserves a real OSS option. We chose dual-license because we recognize that some tenants need closed-source rights for legitimate distribution reasons.
Customer track record
Real deployments behind the platform — not testimonials, just where the NT Connect stack is operating in production today.
| Customer | What's deployed |
|---|---|
| Cunard Queen Anne | CrewApp pattern (replacing DECT fleet), GuestApp, hospitality PBX |
| Disney Cruise Line | NT Connect stack components |
| Princess Lodges / Westmark Hotels Alaska | Hospitality PBX at scale (4,000+ extension benchmark) |
| NOAA Ship Bell M. Shimada | Maritime comms |
| Wyoming Air National Guard | NT Connect stack |
| CSG-4 | NT Connect stack |
When a Nautilus marketing claim depends on one of these deployments — for example, "Cunard Queen Anne replaced their DECT fleet with this pattern" — that's the deployment we mean.

The relationship to Nautilus
Nautilus is AGPL-3.0, with NT Connect Holdings as the primary maintainer and copyright holder of the project itself.
- Same code. AGPL Nautilus and commercial-licensed Nautilus are the same software.
- Tier B services (Quanta, ConnectOne, CallCraft, Heimdall) are NT Connect commercial products, integrated via documented Tier-C interfaces. Tenants can run them via NT Connect's managed services or self-host them under their commercial license terms.
- Tier A primitives (NATS + agent contract, Signal-Protocol library, PSI module) are released under permissive open-source licenses and audited by independent specialists before public release.
- Tier C interface specs (CC BY 4.0) make the integration boundary auditable.
This is not "open core." Tier A is genuinely open. Tier B is genuinely commercial. Tier C makes it auditable. There is no hidden "premium" layer in the AGPL distribution.
Leadership and team
